If you are lingering in the area, enjoying the walks and the scenery, it is well worth scheduling in a visit to Hoghton Tower. It is a beautiful example of English renaissance architecture and stands proudly on its hill overlooking the surrounding countryside, an impressive sight for visitors driving up its mile long drive. Over the centuries this ancient fortified manor house has played host to many distinguished guests and visitors including King James I, William III, George V and Queen Mary and the Duke of Edinburgh. It is well worth adding you name to the list!

Hoghton Tower is located nearby, midway between Preston and Blackburn on the A675 about 6 miles east of Preston.  Exit 3 of the M65 is the nearest motorway junction and as you leave the motorway here, Hoghton Tower is sign posted.
